Hopeswood is match-funding a new solar panel installation at Lee Abbey.
Lee Abbey already generates about a quarter to a third of its electricity from a hydroelectric plant on the estate.
Hopeswood recently helped Lee Abbey prepare and submit a planning application which was approved in January. During the summer of 2024, solar panels will be installed on the roof of the farm buildings, generating even more renewable electricity on site. This will save on the bills and also help to reduce Lee Abbey's carbon footprint.
We are match-funding the cost of the installation of the solar panels through a grant to Lee Abbey.
