We are a Christian charity rooted in prayer, committed to helping those in need of rest and restoration find new strength and hope, through reconnecting with God, each other and nature.
We long for people to be restored
through faith, fellowship and nature.
We do this by:
- providing free resources on this website,
- running occasional residential retreats at Lee Abbey (a Christian centre on the north coast of Devon),
- supporting Lee Abbey with the Hopeswood Bursary and financial grants to improve their facilities.
Hopeswood is the new everyday name for Woodlands House of Prayer. We chose the name because it reminds us of the heritage of Woodlands House of Prayer, but we feel it looks forward as we enter a new phase in the 80 year history of the charity. (It's also much less of a mouthful to say!)
